First Union Bank’s main lobby at 740 15th Street, N.W. remained operational during these extensive renovations. All trades had to be closely coordinated and monitored for compliance with building rules and regulations in order to minimize interruption of bank operations. Lobby renovations included high-end finishes designed to accommodate the historically significance building. In addition, the upper floors were built out for the bank’s financial offices. The total amount of space renovated was 38,000 - square - feet.
